Poplar Places Fourth At Divisional Tourney
Poplar’s girls’ basketball team fell behind early and lost to Glasgow, 71-57, in the consolation championship game of the Northern B divisional tournament in Glasgow on Saturday, Feb. 25.
The Indians struggled against Glasgow’s full-court pressure during the first quarter and trailed by a 23-11 margin at the end of the period.

Poplar’s girls’ basketball team crushed Shelby, 6536, in the opening round of the Northern C divisional tournament in Glasgow on Thursday, Feb. 23.
The Indians enjoyed a great start against the District 1B tournament champion Shelby squad. Four points by Kessee Erickson and a three-pointer by Morgen Nordwick produced a quick 7-0 advantage.

Poplar Posts Tourney Win Over Conrad Squad, 68-63
Poplar’s girls’ basketball team gained control in the fourth quarter to down Conrad, 68-63, in loser-out action at the divisional tournament in Glasgow on Saturday, Feb. 25.
The game was deadlocked at 51-51 until Kessee Erickson came up big with two straight baskets for a 55-51 lead with 3:31 left. Conrad was able to battle back to 57-56 on a basket and three-pointer.

Wolf Point Stops Poplar At Divisional Tournament
Wolf Point’s girls’ basketball team took control in the second half to beat Poplar, 6542, in the semi-final round of the divisional tournament on Friday, Feb. 24.
The Wolves held a slim 3228 half-time advantage and Poplar pulled to 32-30 when Kessee Erickson scored on an inbounds play to open the third quarter.
Wolf Point’s man-to-man defense held the Indians scoreless for most of the
