The Roosevelt County commissioners approved a request from the Froid Fire Department to purchase a new fire truck during their weekly meeting on Tuesday, April 13.
The truck will cost $40,100.
Commissioner Gordon Oelkers explained the vehicle was supposed to be purchased a year ago, but it was delayed because of COVID issues.
“The funding is available,” Oelkers said.

According to DPHHS, the individual contracted the illness while working out of state where he had occupational exposure to mice. The man was hospitalized but is now at home recovering.

The Wolf Point boys put in quite a performance at the Wibaux Invitational track meet held in Glendive on Saturday, April 10. The Wolves ended up being the top Class B squad during the 15-team meet.
Wolf Point finished with 71 points in the team standings. Glendive earned first with 109 points and Sidney placed second with 98 points. Also in the top five were Plentywood at 55 and Glasgow at 42.
