PVFD Trainees
A group of Poplar Volunteer Fire Department cadets recently attended basic wildland firefighting training in Forsyth. Training officer Justus Ackerson was joined by Sierra lemay, Dakota Red-Eagle, Alii Mireau, Derek Mireau, Darren Longee, Curtis Rankin and Brandi Simons.

Eymard, Garfield Place At State
The Wolf Point speech and drama team came away with two places at the state competition held in Manhattan.
Del Eymard earned fifth place in dramatic oral interpretation.
Julianna Garfield, the lone senior on the team, placed eighth in humorous oral interpretation.
Wolf Point placed 10th in Class B speech sweepstakes and 11th in drama sweepstakes.

Crafts Part Of Instruction For Native American Studies
Crafts are being a focus of instruction in Wolf Point High School’s Native American studies’ classes this quarter.
“The whole purpose of crafts is students studying another trade,” teacher Tress Welch explained. “I feel that is important.”

Keiser Enjoys Helping With Projects
Wolf Point High School senior Trinity Keiser has made a point of serving the community even at a young age.
When she was in only the sixth grade, she asked Northside instructor Beth Olsen how to get involved with the Wolf Point Optimist Club.
Since that time, Keiser has assisted in projects to clean up parts of the community. She has also helped at suicide awareness walks.
