Warden Intercepts Mussel-Fouled Boat

A Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks warden stopped a driver pulling a ski boat after he drove past an aquatic invasive species inspection station near Anaconda last week. The warden noticed some mussels on the boat and had the driver return to the inspection station where many more mussels were detected. A full decontamination was performed at the station and the boat was locked to the trailer.

Bearcubs Place In Lewistown

The Frazer Bearcubs scored six points in the boys’ division against top competition at the season-opening track meet in Lewistown in Thursday, April 4. Leading the Bearcubs was Ty Fourstar with a best of 1910 for third place in the long jump. Another highlight for Frazer was Joseph Beston taking 17th in the shot put with a mark of 38-0. Hunters Education Class Scheduled

Hunters Education Class is scheduled for April 17-20 in the basement of the Sherman Inn in Wolf Point. The class will run from 5 to 9 p.m. each night and will start at 8 a.m. on Saturday. Register at mt.fwp.gov. Then, pick up your books at EC Sports or Agland Hardware. Class attendees need to read the entire book and have quizzes done before the first night of class.
