Rabies Remains Threat In Montana

State and local public health officials are reminding Montanans to be aware of the risk for exposure to rabies as summer approaches. The risk for potential encounters between humans and wild animals increases during spring and summer because of the time spent hiking and engaging in other outdoor activities, said a news release Thursday, June 22, from the Department of Public Health and Human Services.

MonDak Stockgrowers Presents Scholarships

Tiara Whitmus is a recipient of a $1,000 college scholarship from the MonDak Area Stockgrowers Association. She is the daughter of Donna and Jeff Whitmus. Tiara is a past graduate of Lustre Christian High School. She is currently attending Miles Community College and majoring in livestock and equine management and agriculture pathways. Leah Beery of Circle received a $1,000 scholarship.
