The Culbertson Cowboys fought off Froid/Lake, 45-43, in District 2C basketball action on Thursday, Dec. 21.
The Cowboys held a 3431 advantage at the end of the third quarter. Still ahead by a 38-36 margin, the Cowboys increased their lead to 41-36 on a three-pointer by Nyreece Halvorson with 4:21 remaining.

Froid/Lake Girls Defeat Culbertson
A 21-point performance in the third quarter led the Froid/Lake Red Hawks to a 38-31 girlsā basketball victory in Culbertson on Thursday Dec. 21.
The Cowgirls jumped out to an 8-2 lead in the first quarter, but Froid/Lake tied the game at 11-11 at the half.
