Severe cold weather has continued for the third consecutive week in March. The blizzard of the 16th didn’t bring much new snow and temperatures were around ten above zero but the violence of the wind for nearly 48 hours made it seem like the coldest of the winter. Fuel consumption was probably greater than at any other time during the past winter. Wind velocity was probably near 50 miles per hour.
