Lady Wolves Prepare To Battle For Divisional Berth
Wolf Point’s girls’ basketball squad aims to compete for a top spot in the District 2B conference this season.
The Wolves return three starters from a season ago including senior Keeley Blount-Henderson, senior Amelia Doney and junior Kashlyn Speak Thunder.

Wolf Point Boys To Feature Tall, Tough Squad
Wolf Point’s boys’ basketball squad features good size as the Wolves enter the 2024/2025 campaign.
The team’s lone returning starter is 6-5 sophomore Zandon Calder.
“We had around 28 players come out this year total including a few eighth-graders,” Wolf Point Coach Cole Hanks said.

Wolf Point Wrestling Squad Starts Season With New Coach
Wolf Point’s wrestlers are looking forward to a solid season under first-year head coach Maestro Martinez.
“I feel our philosophy has been good,” Martinez said. “We want a strong work ethic and for them not to give up during the year.”
Caleb Pennington is the assistant coach. Junior high coach Dana Matejovsky will also assist as the season progresses.

Poplar Wrestling Enjoys Strong Turnout Entering Season
The Poplar wrestling team is enjoying an excellent turnout of 25 athletes this season.
The turnout includes eight girls, compared to only three girls last year.
Leading Poplar’s program are returning state placers Angelina Escarcega and Navarjo Escarcega. Both seniors placed second at last year’s state meet. Angelina is a two-time state champion.
