Wesley Headdress of Wolf Point was awarded $100,000 from the Montana Lottery Dec. 30. He accepted his winnings with children, Layla and Liam. Headdress, who bought the winning Montana Millionaire ticket at Agland Co-op East in Wolf Point Dec. 27, said he had already invested some of the money. “We bought a few vehicles,” said Headdress. “My father had a 1979 Ford when I was younger.

A Billings 16-year-old runaway may be hiding in the Wolf Point area, her family members believe. Mary Josia Hagestad was last seen Dec. 20. She is described as a 6’0” American Indian with brown hair and brown eyes, weighing 135 pounds. The Billings Police Department is the investigating agency. Anyone who sees Hagestad is asked to call 911, the Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office

eek The Wolf Point Junior High/High School Scholars of the Week for the week of Dec. 15 are Lindsay Nefzger and Bree Nygaard and for the week of Jan. 6 is Aaron Boysun. Nefzger, 17, is a senior and the daughter of Gina and Scott Nefzger. Her sibling is Logan Nefzger, 21. Her favorite subject is lunch and extracurricular activities include volleyball and tennis. Dan Horsmon is her favorite
