Releases From Fort Peck Dam Increased
Releases from Fort Peck Dam were stepped up from 5,000 cfs to 9,000 cfs on Dec. 6, and will be held at that rate through December, according to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Hunter Olson of Plentywood is facing charges after allegedly defrauding the Farm Services Agency and a Wolf Point bank of more than $269,000. Charges against Olson include conversion of secured property, bank fraud, wire fraud and aggravated identify theft. Maximum penalties include 57 years in prison, a $1,750,000 fine and 12 years of supervised release.

Roosevelt County Attorney Frank Piocos is continuing his investigation whether a county commissioner had a potential conflict of interest when he voted in favor of gravel purchases over several years.

State’s Minimum Wage To Increase January 1
According to the Montana Department of Labor and Industry, the state’s minimum wage will increase to $9.20 per hour effective Jan. 1, 2022.
Montana statute requires the minimum wage be adjusted annually based on changes in inflation as measured by the Consumer Price Index all Urban Consumers from August of the year in which the calculation is made and is rounded to the nearest $0.05. Department
