Gym, Track Projects Completed At School
A new track and a refurbished gym are awaiting Wolf Point High School’s and junior high’s student athletes to use for this summer and the upcoming school year.
Wolf Point Superintendent of Schools Dr. David Perkins said that the gym’s floor has been repainted and refinished.
“I’m happy with it,” Perkins said of the work done.

Buckboard Wagon, Cutter Added To Museum
An interesting part of the area’s history was added to the Wolf Point Area Museum last week when R.J. Doornek and family loaned a Portland cutter and an antique buckboard wagon to the facility.
Jim Marmon of the museum board said the items will be valued additions to the museum’s expansion town area. The cutter and wagon will be placed in a cubicle between a blacksmith shop and a Model
Veteran Shares Importance Of Service
Wolf Point native and Vietnam War era veteran Fred McGeshick was recently in the area and treasured time at the Northeast Montana Veterans Memorial in Fort Peck.
McGeshick, who lived in Wolf Point from 1956-1974, served in the U.S. Army from 1974-1977. The Vietnam era veteran was sworn in during January 1974 in Butte.

Interest In Horsemanship Clinics Grows In Area
Thanks to the combined efforts of the Spotted Bull Recovery Center and the Fort Peck Community College’s agriculture department, horsemanship clinics have become a favorite summer activity on the Fort Peck Reservation.
Instructor Emma Gourneau said this is the fourth year of the events that are held the Thursday before each powwow throughout the reservation.
