Froid/Lake Drops Opening Match At Eastern C Divisional Tournament
The Froid/Lake volleyball squad lost to a strong Broadus team in the first round of the Eastern C divisional tournament on Thursday, Nov. 2.
In the first set, the Red Hawks stayed close as kills by Jaeleigh Davidson and Isabelle Nordwick highlighted play. A kill by Mara Salvevold pulled Froid/Lake even at 10--10.

Poet Laureate Reads At Tribal Library
Montana’s 2023-24 Poet Laureate Chris La Tray was hosted at Poplar’s James E. Shanley Tribal Library under the rotunda Monday night, Nov. 6.
Librarian Lori Smoker emceed the event, introducing La Tray and welcoming the audience. Smoke Signal Studio provided audiovisual support and recorded the event. The event was sponsored by Humanities Montana.

Red Hawks Lose Against Jordan Squad
Despite a strong comeback, the Froid/Lake Red Hawks fell against Jordan during loser- out action at the Eastern C divisional volleyball tournament in Sidney on Friday, Nov. 3.
Jordan won the match by a 25-18, 25-19, 25-22 final.
The Red Hawks fell behind early in the first set, but kills by Isabelle Nordwick closed the margin to 13-12. A kill by Jaeleigh Davidson tied the match at 13-13.
