Cowboys Win Tourney Game Against Savage


The Culbertson Cowboys made a terrific comeback in the second half to edge Savage, 49-48, during loser-out play at the Eastern C divisional tournament on Thursday, Feb. 29. Bridger Salvevold went coast to coast for the winning basket with two seconds remaining to lift Culbertson to the victory. The Cowboys trailed 15-9 at the end of the first quarter and by a 27-14 half-time score.

Culbertson Loses To Scobey


The Culbertson Cowboys saw their basketball season come to an end as Scobey stopped the Cowboys, 60-25, at the Eastern C divisional tournament held in Glasgow. After Culbertson’s Bridger Salvevold accounted for the game’s first two points, Scobey struck for the next 14 points including three-pointers by John Carney and Ty Leischer. Froid/Lake’s boys’ basketball team came through in the fourth quarter to down North Country, 56-48, during loser-out action at the Eastern C divisional tournament on Thursday, Feb. 29.
