Lustre Boys Shoot To Contend For State Honors Again
After bringing home the third-place trophy from the Class C state tournament last year, the Lustre Christian Lions look to add to their hardware this boys’ basketball season.
Returning starters for the explosive Lions are All-State selection Johnslee Pierre, a 6-5 junior; All-Conference selection Byron Ewing, a 6-5 senior; and Clay Reddig, a 6-3 senior.

Lustre Girls Look To Young Players This Basketball Season
Lustre’s girls’ basketball team features a new coach and a young roster entering this season.
Returning starters for the Lions are freshman Kencia Brown, sophomore Lauryn Holzrichter and junior Hannah Brown.
K. Brown was an All-Conference and an all-defensive team selection last season.
Other girls with varsity playing experience include freshman Lauren Fast, senior Abby Olfert and
Cowboys Plan To Be Near Top Of District 2C Standings
With several starters back from last year’s divisional tournament team, the Culbertson Cowboys have their sights on an exciting boys’ basketball season this year.
Returning starters for the Cowboys are Dawson Bergum, Bridger Salvevold and Mark Kirkaldie. Salvevold was a second team All-Conference pick last year.
Gavin Deen and Ian Snyder also enjoyed a good amount of varsity playing
Cowgirls Keep Building To Earn More Victories
With four starters back from last season, the Culbertson Cowgirls are aiming to move up in the league standings this season.
The squad features six juniors, five sophomores and a freshman. There are no seniors on the roster.
“We have a pretty good group,” Coach Sabrina Labatte said.
