The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 119 calls from March 2-8. The calls included the following: March 2 Deputies received a report from near Poplar regarding that someone was yelling from a suspicious vehicle. Deputies found that the vehicle was broken down. When deputies talked with individuals in the vehicle, they were told that someone will come to tow them into town. March

The National Weather Service in Glasgow is reporting a possibility of high winds and significant snow in the region during the weekend. The report reads that an active weather pattern looks to be setting up late this week with a chinook generating strong to high winds Friday, March 13, as well as rain transitioning to snow that evening. Both Friday and Saturday look to generate significant snowfall

Stanford “Stan” L. Pfeil, 70, of Bainville died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2026, at the Roosevelt Medical Center in Culbertson. Services will be held at a later date.
