Although the Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office no longer is the contracted entity for law enforcement in Poplar, the sheriff’s office still will serve that community as well as the entire county. Lynn Darrold Sorlie, 68, of Billings, died Nov. 20, 2020. He was born Jan. 31, 1952, in Hettinger, N.D., to Darrold and Vera Sorlie. On April 30, 1977, he was united in marriage to Liz Keller. Together, they made their home in Billings. They owned and operated Sorlie Trucking and LOMCO Inc.
