The Wolf Point Wolves dropped both conference basketball contests against strong Malta squads on Friday, Feb. 7. Wolf Point’s girls came up short by a 63-41 final spread. The M-ettes gained an 1811 lead in the first quarter and increased the gap to 34-17 at the half. Malta outscored the Wolves by a 14-8 margin in the third quarter. Lustre’s boys’ basketball squad avenged a loss from earlier this season by earning a 61-49 conference victory in Circle on Saturday, Feb. 8. The Lions took a 20-7 advantage in the first quarter en route to the win. After Circle fought back to 35-27 at the half, Lustre increased the margin to 49-36 in the third quarter.
