Frazer’s Boys Expect More Success On Court


Last season was a struggle for Frazer, but the Bearcubs expect much more success this boys’ basketball season. “We will be pretty good this year,” Frazer coach Myron Jackson said. Returning starters for the Bearcubs are John Hotomanie, Jonathan Jackson, Keein Ackerman and Blue Fettig. “We’re short of numbers, but we have the same amount as last year,” Coach Jackson said.

With six returning players who saw a good deal of court time last season, Poplar’s boys basketball team should be a strong threat in District 2B this season. The top returning players include Wilfred Lambert, Kayden Lambert, Inyan Growing Thunder, Isaiah Gray Bear, Preston Ogle and Dennis Red Eagle. “I think they all started at some point last season,” Poplar coach Frank Gourneau said.

Wolves Building Improved Wrestling Program


The Wolf Point High School’s wrestling program started practice on Monday, Dec. 7, with an impressive turnout of 11 wrestlers. Coach Scott Vandall, entering his fourth season as head coach, is excited because this is the largest turnout during that time. “We’re trying to build it,” Vandall said of the program. “We get good support from our A.D.” Leading the Wolves’ list
