The choir received an Excellent rating in both their performance and in sight-reading. The concert band earned superior rating in their pieces at district and superior in their sight-reading.

Whitmer, accompanied by his brother Boone, was aboard the Western North Dakota Honor Flight from Minot to Washington, D.C., on Sunday, April 27, with around 120 other area veterans in recognition
