Timber Bridges Replaced In Northeastern Montana
The Montana Department of Transportation and its partners, Sletten Construction and Morrison-Maierle, have replaced seven timber bridges in the Glasgow area during the 2023 construction season. These bridge replacements are part of a broader Timber Bridges – Glasgow Area project, which will replace up to 16 timber bridges in northeastern Montana within three years.

Jeannie Hathaway, the EMB pastor’s wife, was the speaker at the Lustre MB Church ladies’ Christmas party on Dec. 4. Emcee Lisa Neufeld welcomed the 50 women who enjoyed a salad supper and dessert. PLPW Advisory Committee To Meet Dec. 19 Via Zoom
The Private Land/Public Wildlife Advisory Committee will meet Wednesday, Dec. 19, via Zoom from 1 to 4:30 p.m.
The 13-member advisory committee, appointed by the governor, is charged with reviewing FWP’s access programs and offering recommendations to help achieve program goals and maintaining good relations between hunters and landowners.
Members are Ed Beall, chair, of Helena, Eric

Brockton’s girls lost by a 60-25 final against Hardin’s JVs during basketball action in Billings on Saturday, Dec. 11.
Brockton trailed by only a 14-6 margin at the end of the first quarter, but Hardin increased the gap to 30-13 at the half.
Tamryn Bauer scored 12 points to lead the Warriors.

Brockton’s girls’ basketball team opened its season with a 56-38 victory over Northern Cheyenne on Friday, Dec. 8.
The Warriors jumped out to a 16-8 lead in the first quarter and increased the margin to 33-16 during the second quarter.
Brockton scored 18 more points in the third quarter for a 51-18 lead.
