Judge Rules Oil Lease Moratorium Exceeded President Biden’s Power

A federal judge has issued a permanent injunction against President Biden’s socalled “pause” on federal oil and gas leasing and drilling permits in 13 plaintiff states, including Montana, agreeing with Attorney General Austin Knudsen that the policy violated the Mineral Leasing Act and Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act. New Pavilion Donated At Makoshika Park

A large contingent of the McDonough family gathered under a shady new day-use shelter atop a breath-taking overlook at Makoshika State Park on Aug. 12. They were there to share family memories of time spent at the park, and to dedicate the Mc-Donough Pavilion that they had helped to fund in memory of Russell and Dora Mc-Donough. Gas Prices Drop 10 Cents During Week

Average gasoline prices in Montana have fallen 10 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $4.10/g on Monday, Aug. 29, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 615 stations in Montana. Prices in Montana are 36.7 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 78.8 cents per gallon higher than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has risen 7.3 cents in the last week and stands at $5.04
