The House Judiciary Committee heard testimony on a bill Monday, Feb. 20, that would allow landlords to forgo some restrictions surrounding security deposits. The Scotties took an 18-6 lead in the first quarter and held a 35-18 half-time advantage. Glasgow added 17 points in the third quarter for a 52-36 lead. Owners of motorboats, sailboats or personal watercraft need to get new, free 2023-2026 validation decals for their watercraft soon. The current orange decals expire Feb. 28. Boaters who have permanently registered their boats, sailboats, or PWC must still obtain two free boat validation decals every three years at FWP regional and area offices, or by going to the FWP website at fwp.mt.gov/activities/

Lustre Christian’s girls’ basketball squad kept its season alive by beating Dodson, 53-45, in overtime during loser- out action at the District 3C tournament on Friday, Feb. 17. After a 41-41 deadlock at the end of regulation, the Lions outscored Dodson by a 12-4 margin in overtime to earn the victory. Alexa Reddig poured in 26 points to lead the Lions.
