Frazer High School hosted a graduation ceremony May 19 in the school gym. Graduating seniors included Liana Jackson, Kacee Lilley, Alyssa Toce-Blount and Jazmyn WindyBoy The welcome address was delivered by former NFL player Levi Horn, member of the North Cheyenne. The commencement speech was delivered by Mark Mindt, an educator, comic book creator and member of the Spirit Lake Dakota Nation.

Samantha Reed, a Wolf Point High School senior who is usually full of energy, wasn’t feeling like herself. It was a mid-January Monday morning, and she just struggled walking from the school’s parking lot to her locker. “It was just hard to breathe,” Reed remembers. “I felt like I just ran three miles, so I knew something was wrong.” She rested at home for the rest of the day.

New Wolf Point School Board members Michael J. Turcotte and Trenton Wemmer were sworn into office during the organizational meeting on Monday, May 8. Also sworn in to serve terms were trustees Keith Higgins and Roxanne Gourneau. In district 5, Trenton Wemmer received 44 votes to defeat long-time trustee Lanette Clark with 35 votes. Clean Sweep Days Continue


The annual Wolf Point Clean Sweep Days continue in the community this week. The Wolf Point landfill will accept clean-sweep trash at no charge this week. The landfill will also be open on Sunday, May 21, from noon to 5 p.m. Bring your landfill card if you have one. Appliances requiring Freon removal will be charged a removal fee. Contractor/construction waste will be charged regular rates.
