The Lustre Grade School hosted the Frazer Bearcubs Friday evening, and went to Saco Saturday to finish their season of junior high and jamboree basketball. The jamboree girls played Frazer first and won their game 22-14. They played so well. The Jamboree boys (grades 5-6) played next, winning 2810. It was good to see their team work in defense. The Jr. High girls basketball had to work

Amendment Would Split Hunting District

Two more amendments to agenda items for the December Fish and Wildlife Commission meeting are available for public review online. The first amendment looks to change the hunting district boundary in 313 just north of Yellowstone National Park. This is a deer and elk hunting district and the proposed change would add a portion of HD 314 into HD 313. Commissioner Susan Brooke proposed the amendment.

Hunter Story Contest Deadline Monday

Governor Greg Gianforte in August launched the second annual Youth Hunting Story Contest for Montana youth and apprentice hunters ages 10-17. The deadline to enter the contest is Monday, November 27, 2023. To enter the contest, hunters must submit a story of no more than 500 words and a photo from their 2023 hunt. Hunters must be a Montana resident and a licensed hunter or apprentice hunter
