Roosevelt County has hired a law firm to represent the county in the case regarding attorney Janet Christoffersen. The three lots are located in one area near First Avenue. A Great Falls postal service driver pleaded guilty Thursday, Aug. 17, to federal charges of possessing stolen mail and wire fraud after depositing checks she overwrote with her name. Jacqueline Rose Hydock, 33, could face up to 20 years in prison, a $250,000 fine and three years of supervised release, with sentencing scheduled Dec. 13, according to a press release from the District of Montana

Three hearings took place in district court under Judge David J. Cybulski on Wednesday, Aug. 16. Matthew Lavelle Harris was sentenced for two charges. He was originally facing seven charges including attempted escape in Roosevelt County. Along with the felony charge of attempted escape, there were two felony criminal mischief charges. The other four charges were for misdemeanor criminal mischief.
