The Lustre Volleyball Lady Lions lost to the Culbertson team in three well played matches, 25-23, 25-21, 25-17 on Oct. 21. It was good to see them volley long and hard. It was senior night for Katie Calderon of Circle, Rachel Pew of Wolf Point, Jaden Gibson and Abby Olfert both of Frazer, and Meridith Valentine of Portland, Maine. Area Students Learn About Red Ribbon Week


Area students recognized Red Ribbon Week with various activities last week. Students at Frontier Elementary School heard a presentation from Marianne Zilkoski early in the week. Zilkoski urged students to live a substance-free lifestyle. She noted that students only should take pills that are given to them from their parents. Each of the students received a Red Ribbon Week ribbon

Residents Listen To Town Pump’s Proposal


A low turnout of area residents attended a public hearing on Wednesday, Oct. 16, regarding Town Pump’s desire to purchase Triangle Park from the City of Wolf Point. Town Pump’s proposal includes paying the city $20,000 for the property. The company will use the land to expand its building and to add diesel islands and gas pumps. Surveys Needed For Community Ag Plan


The Natural Resources Department on the Fort Peck Reservation is attempting to find out what the community desires in a community agriculture plan. Meetings were conducted in Wolf Point and Poplar to receive input from residents last week. Programs have also taken place in Brockton and Fort Kipp. A meeting is planned for Oct. 29 in Frazer.
