Yoakam To Appear In Matilda


Yoakam To Appear In Matilda McKay Yoakam of Glasgow will play the leading role in Fort Peck Summer Theatre’s Matilda. Winner of nearly 50 international awards and based on the beloved novel by fantastical genius Roald Dahl (Willy Wonka), this captivating modern masterpiece follows young Matilda. Surrounded by largerthan- life characters, her powerful imagination transforms into magical powers and inspirational dreams as she searches for a better life. Yoakam, age 9, is a third grader. She said her favorite subjects are music and math. Her favorite movie is Mamma Mia. She likes basketball, cookie dough ice cream and has a labradoodle named Murphy. She said she’s nervous about talking on a major performing role on stage. Yoakam said her role reminds her to appreciate her Yoakam Glasgow’s McKay Yoakam will star as Matilde at FPST in July.
