Sixty new COVID-19 cases were reported in Montana over the past week. The count now stands at 614, with 60 active cases and eight active hospitalizations. At presstime Tuesday, June 16, there were 614 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Montana. Of those cases, 535 are listed as recovered. There have been 79 total hospitalizations. One new death was reported this week, with that count now at 19.

Amtrak has asked Congress for an additional $1.475 billion in supplemental funding in fiscal year 2021. According to the letter, additional funding is necessary for Amtrak to operate minimum service levels across the passenger rail network and continue capital investments for the future. The 2020 Poplar Wild West Days Rodeo is officially on. Dates will be Saturday and Sunday, June 13-14. It will be held at the Poplar Saddle Club grounds north of Poplar. Start time will be a little earlier than usual. According to the event poster, the rodeo will begin at 1 p.m. Wild horse races will include six teams per day. Admission is $10 per person, kids twelve and under will be $5 per day.
