John Julian Fast Horse, 62, died June 6, 2026. He was born Jan. 7, 1964, to Michael Mathias Fast Horse and Melinda Arlene Shields, the third child of seven children. H grew up and attended school in Brockton, then later moved to Poplar, where he lived with his lifelong companion of 40+ years, Theresa SunRhodes. He was a very loving, kind, humble, hardworking person. He was always there to help wherever he was needed. He was employed by the Fort Peck Tribes as maintenance and, before that, he was employed at Tribal Express for several years. He also worked various other jobs such as seismography, sugar beets, surveying, etc. He worked for 25 years for his buddy Art Greybull on his ranch, helping with cattle, fencing, branding and hauling hay. He really enjoyed this kind of work and would work on weekends even though he had a job. He never had any children of his own, but he was a dad
