Bulldogs Celebrate Homecoming With 35-20 Victory Over Fusion

Homecoming spirit filled the air as the Bainville Bulldogs treated their hometown crowd to a 35-20 football victory over the Richey-Lambert Fusion.

The team brought energy to the field from the opening play and kept it going throughout the night. That enthusiasm carried into the crowd, where fans cheered on their Bulldogs from beginning to end.

Bainville’s pep band added to the festive atmosphere, filling the night with music and school spirit under the direction of Xiomara Orue. With the band playing and the crowd responding, the homecoming game became a true community celebration.

On the field, the Bulldogs gave their supporters plenty to cheer about. Bainville found success both through the air and on the ground, finishing with 117 rushing yards and 180 passing yards. The Bulldogs scored five touchdowns and protected the football without committing a turnover.

Quarterback Evan Anderson completed six of 13 passes for 180 yards, spreading the ball among several receivers.

Keagan Vaira provided some of the night’s biggest offensive moments. He caught two passes for 75 yards and scored two touchdowns. Parker Berwick added two receptions for 69 yards and a touchdown, while Matthew Sorenson recorded a threeyard reception.

The Bulldogs also kept the Fusion defense busy with a steady rushing attack. Kyn Beery led Bainville with 50 yards on 16 carries. Sorenson made the most of his four attempts, adding 42 yards, while Holden Salivar carried the ball 12 times for 19 yards and a touchdown. Anderson contributed another six yards on four carries.

Bainville’s defense matched the oense’s energy, holding Richey-Lambert to 149 total yards. The Fusion finished with 84 rushing yards and 65 passing yards as the Bulldogs recorded 37 tackles as a team.

Vaira led Bainville with nine tackles, completing a strong performance on both sides of the ball. Berwick recorded seven tackles, while Beery, Sorenson and Haedyn Wills each added six.

Richey-Lambert’s Trace Fulton led the Fusion on the ground with 53 yards on 24 carries and a touchdown. Brenner Mullin added 28 rushing yards and caught two passes for 39 yards.

Coy Rehbein and Sy Carda shared the passing duties for Richey-Lambert. Rehbein completed three of five attempts for 26 yards, while Carda completed two of four passes for 39 yards. Carda also caught two passes for 10 yards and a touchdown.

Bainville’s balanced oense kept the Fusion defense guessing, while the Bulldogs’ defense limited Richey-Lambert’s opportunities. Contributions from across the lineup helped Bainville turn its homecoming game into a memorable 35-20 win.

As the final moments ticked away, the same energy that opened the night remained around the field. Backed by an enthusiastic crowd and the sounds of the pep band, the Bulldogs gave Bainville a homecoming victory worth celebrating.
