Brockton, Frazer, Lustre Athletes Place At Meet

Runners from Brockton, Frazer and Lustre Christian all achieved solid showings during the cross country meet held in Scobey on Thursday, Sept. 10.

The Brockton Warriors took third in the boys’ standings and fourth in the girls’ standings.

Brockton’s Daniel Segubiense ran the course in 20:33.2 for fifth-place honors.

Tefton Bear took 11th place for the Warriors at 21:11.6. Preston Beston was 13th with a time of 21.46.8. Right behind was Lahmi Youngman with a time of 21:48.0.

Charlie Firemoon was 26th at 24:35.3. CoDean Big Eagle took 28th at 24:36.9. Braxton Crawford was 39th at 29:16.9.

Two runners placed in the top 10 for Brockton’s girls. Madalyn Fish finished sixth at 26:01.2. BraeLynn DeMarrias took seventh at 26:13.1.

Brockton’s Dacia Youpee was 30th at 32:59.4.

Frazer’s girls were led by eighth-grader Anevay Daniels who took 24th place with a time of 30:49.2.

Gabe Beston placed 15th in the boys’ division with a time of 22:24.8.

Ronald Round Face was 40th at 29:44.9.

The Lustre Lions opened their season at the meet.

Lustre’s Coleman Hilkemann ran the course in 20:39.9 for sixth place.

In the girls’ division, Lustre’s Skylar Cummins placed 10th at 29:36.3.

Brockton will host a meet on Saturday, Sept. 19.
