Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Report
The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 140 calls from June 22-30.
The calls included the following: June 23
Deputies responded for the Fort Kipp area for a woman in labor. Deputies helped the female into the Culbertson ambulance.
The effort by deputies to serve a search arrest in Wolf Point’s tribal housing area for unsuccessful.
Deputies and the Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice responded to the Boulevard area in Poplar for a report of two males with a gun. When approached, the men said they had a pellet gun to shoot some gophers.
June 24
Deputies were advised by dispatch that an adult male was in the county justice center who had an active for arrest. Gerrale Red Eagle, 51, was taken to tribal jail.
June 26
Deputies responded to tribal housing in Poplar after a reporting party wanted an intoxicated person removed from a residence. The female was located in the backyard and was advised to leave the residence.
Deputies responded to the John Deere business in Culbertson after it was reported that a suspicious vehicle was parked in the area after business hours. Two unknown males were seen digging in a box on the property. When law enforcement arrived, the two suspects had left. The business is providing a video of the suspects. Extra patrol was provided.
June 27
Deputies received a report that an adult male in Culbertson said he was assaulted. Law enforcement took the complaint. No action has yet been taken.
Deputies responded to Highway 251, mile marker 19, where water was flowing over the highway after a severe storm. Deputies contacted dispatch so that the state highway department could be notified.
June 28
Deputies received a report of a runaway juvenile female in Poplar from the child’s grandmother.
June 29
Deputies assisted FPTDLJ and the Poplar ambulance when someone said an individual was stabbed on a street in tribal housing. The victim was transported to the emergency room. After the searching for the alleged suspects, an adult male and adult female were taken to the tribal jail.
