Lions Lose Contests In Scobey
The Lustre Christian Lions dropped both conference basketball games in Scobey on Saturday, Feb. 7.
Lustre’s boys fell by a 6344 margin against the topranked Spartans. Scobey jumped out to a 16-4 lead in the first quarter and held a 34-13 half-time advantage.
Lustre’s top scorers were Cam Reddig with 10, Joel Reddig with nine and Hadden Olfert with nine points.
Also scoring were Prestyn Klatt with six, Johnslee Pierre with five and Diek Olfert with five points.
Leading Scobey were Kolten Machart with 20, Bram Handran with 14 and John Carney with 10 points.
In the girls’ game, Scobey posted a 62-38 victory.
Scobey gained a 15-8 lead in the first quarter and increased the margin to 38-17 at the half.
Kencia Brown led the Lions with 11 points.
Rounding out Lustre’s scoring were Lauryn Holzrichter with eight, Hannah Brown with seven, Ashtyn Traeholt with five, Lauren Fast with four and Samantha Neufeld with three points.
Scobey’s Camrie Holum, Claire Lekvold and Emery Rouse scored 11 points each.
