Margaret Florence Hernandez, Anpetu Wakan Wiyan, Holy Day Woman or Sunday Woman, 46, of Poplar died Oct. 30, 2025, at the Poplar Community Hospital. She was born Nov. 18, 1978, to Carmen A. Hernandez Jr. and Mavis Scott Hernandez. Her adopted mother was Annabelle Jones and Robert “Bobby” Youpee was her adopted father. She attended Poplar Schools where she participated in wrestling, football and basketball. She went to state for Poplar High School for wrestling. She enjoyed listening to music, watching Orlando play horseshoes, Mason playing basketball and visiting/ gossiping about her family and friends. She was a fan of the University Montana Grizzlies and a supporter of the United States Marine Corps in honor of her brothers Chad Hernandez, Conrad Scott and Jimmy John Chase. She is survived by her children, Damon Menz, Artie Crazybull Menz, Mason menz, Lance Menz, Jessi Menz, Karmen Menz, Mabel Menz, Winter and Aurora Starr; adopted children, Malcolm Goodbird Jr., Jeremy Longee Jr. and Dewayne Shoots Jr.; and siblings, Robyn Hernandez, Ethan Crazybull, Antonia “Mia” Hernandez, Jacinda LaRoque, Elayne Scott, Elton and Faron Jones, John and Emery Goodbird. She was preceded in death by siblings, Carmen “Chad” Hernandez III, Conrad Scott, Callen Cloke and Orlando Hale. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at the Poplar Cultural Center. Interment was at Poplar City Cemetery. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel was entrusted with arrangements.

Clint Wade Jackson, 50, of Frazer died Nov. 4, 2025, in Kalispell. He was born Sept. 23, 1975, to Maynard Jr. and Agnes “BabyGirl” Spotted Wolf Jackson in Wolf Point. He attended school and lived most his life in Frazer. He went with his mother to Poplar, then to St. Paul, Minn. Later, he returned to Frazer and Wolf Point area, where he made Wolf Point his home away from home. He often returned to Frazer to visit relatives. He would go to Minnesota to visit his sister Tara and her family. He is survived by his sister, Tara Rasmussen; grandfather, Andrew FourStar Jr.; and two granddaughters. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel. Interment was at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Lois L. Brown, 84, of Wolf Point died Nov. 1, 2025, at the Billings Hospital Clinic. She was born Sept. 7, 1941, in Wolf Point to John and Lou (Langager) Lindsay. She was the oldest of three siblings. She married soon after graduating from Wolf Point High School to David K. Brown of Vida, who was actively serving in the U.S. Navy. She was a Navy wife and mother for nearly 20 years. They were stationed in San Diego, Calif.; Guam; Whidbey Island, Wash.; San Diego, Calif.; and Alameda, Calif. When he retired, they settled in Susanville, Calif., and instantly fell in love with the town and region. She loved raising animals, specifically horses — although, she had countless dogs, chickens, goats, cats and the list goes on.
