It was so good to see many people, new faces (from Alaska, Montana, Texas) and familiar ones, alumni and nearby communities join us for the 60th annual Schmeckfest at LCHS.

Dethman Gains All-American Honors
Rocky Mountain College’s senior forward Sydney Dethman was named third team All-American, released by the NAIA on Monday.
Dethman, a high school standout for Froid/Lake, made a historical impact in her only season with the Battlin’ Bears. She averaged 16.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game, shooting 50.4 percent from the field and starting in all 31 games for Rocky this season.
McCarty Wins Patriot’s Pen
VFW Post 3107 members presented a certificate and a $100 check to the Patriot’s Pen winner Trenton McCarty from Frontier School. Berwick, Wilson Win Nyquist Scholarships
The Thomas and Corinne Nyquist Foundation is pleased to announce its 21st annual Robert and Ruth Nyquist Memorial Scholarships. Two $500 scholarships are given each spring to Bainville High School graduating seniors to help with costs of college, trade or technical school specifically in fields relative to rural America with the hope that graduating Bainville students will choose to return and contribute
