Early Season Fire Burns More Than 300 Acres


A grass fire that was likely ignited by a blown tire saw area fire departments dispatched Thursday afternoon. Mike Olson told the Community News that the Culbertson Volunteer Fire Department was paged at 3:21 p.m. March 20 to a fire between Brockton and Fort Kipp “It’s before the spring green-up,” Olson said. “Before everything turns green, we can have some pretty big fires.” CFVD

The Missoula Children’s Theatre attracted 47 students in grades 1-8 for its Wolf Point performance last week. The public showing of “Hercules!” took place on Saturday afternoon. Hamilton Re-elected WPCO’s Chair

Hamilton Re-elected WPCO’s Chair


Two individuals were willing to serve in the position of chair when the Wolf Point Community Organization held its annual elections on Monday, March 17. Current chair Holly Hamilton thanked the committee for having the opportunity to be the chair for the last year. “It was fun but challenging,” she said. Hamilton and vice chair Thomas Bauer were each nominated to serve as the next chair.
