In 2022, Gov. Greg Gianforte proposed a property tax rebate for Montanans for their primary residence and signed it into law in March 2023. The rebate provides Montanans with up to $400 of property tax relief on a primary residence in both 2023 and 2024. To qualify for the property tax rebate, you must have owned a Montana residence for at least seven months in 2024, lived in that Montana residence

The Montana Chamber Foundation hosted its Professional Development-Rise Up with Empowered event in Helena over the past weekend. In total, 38 educators visited from across the state, with multiple teachers from area schools attending. “We had such a fun time in Helena with amazing teachers from across the state,” MCF workforce specialist Tiana Yates told the Northern Plains Independent.
