Gas Prices Drop 4.9 Cents During Week

 

Average gasoline prices in Montana have fallen 4.9 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.07/g on Monday, Oct. 13, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 615 stations in Montana. Prices in Montana are 14.2 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 11.3 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has decreased 3.5 cents compared to a week ago and stands at $3.628 per gallon.

According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in Montana was priced at $2.78/g on Sunday, Oct. 12, while the most expensive was $4.19/g, a difference of $1.41/g.

The national average price of gasoline has fallen 6.4 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.02/g on Monday. The national average is down 13.7 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 14.4 cents per gallon lower than a year ago, according to GasBuddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country.

Neighboring areas and their current gas prices: Idaho- $3.43/g, down 1.6 cents per gallon from last week’s $3.45/g.

Billings- $3.05/g, unchanged from last week’s $3.05/g.

Wyoming- $3.00/g, up 1.4 cents per gallon from last week’s $2.99/g.
