Across Roosevelt County, thousands of meals, helping hands, and meaningful moments of care are making it possible for older adults to remain connected to their communities and independent in their homes.

Julie and Alyssa, together, work diligently to keep these vital programs strong. Even when challenges arise, they remain focused on the people they serve; finding creative solutions, building compromises, and developing innovative ways to ensure services continue to thrive.

Their impact is remarkable. Roosevelt County provided 47,985 home-delivered meals, 6,824 congregate meals, 1,637 homemaker service units and 71 hours of in-home respite.

Every home-delivered meal offers more than nutrition. It provides a friendly visit and an important wellness check for an older adult who may otherwise spend the day alone. Congregate meals bring people together to visit, laugh, build friendships, and remain part of their community.

Homemaker services help older adults maintain safe homes and preserve their independence. In-home respite provides caregivers with necessary time to rest and recharge, helping prevent burnout and allowing families to continue caring for loved ones at home.

These numbers represent thousands of moments when someone received nourishment, companionship, practical assistance, or a much-needed break.

Thank you to Julie and Alyssa for approaching every challenge with determination, compassion, and creativity. Your commitment ensures Roosevelt County’s older adults and caregivers know they are valued, supported, and never forgotten.
