Runners Capture Honors At Glasgow Meet

Poplar’s girls’ cross country squad ran to a first-place team showing at the Glasgow Invitational held at Fort Peck on Saturday, Oct. 4.

The Indians finished with 27 points. Glasgow took second with 50 and Brockton was third with 72 points.

Wolf Point’s Cali Gorder was the overall winner on the girls’ side with a time of 19:41.62. Teammate Cadence Boulden placed 15th at 22:35.16. Lakealah Mays took 45th at 26:19.03.

Leading Poplar were Mila Gramling with a time of 20:52.92 for fifth place and Kellyn Azure at 21:20.3 for ninth place.

Amelia Weeks finished in 16th with a time of 22:40.33. Alara Cooper placed 20th at 23:03.76. Harley Daniels ran the course in 23:31.33 for 23rd place. Blake Follette took 58th at 29:28.12.

BraeLynn DeMarrias led Brockton’s girls with a time of 21:26.57 for 10th place.

Madalyn Fish was 19th at 22:53.16. Tamryn Bauer placed 22nd at 23:21.53.

Brockton’s Taylor Cummins took 42nd at 25:43.67. Skylar Cummins was 49th at 26:57.33. Marlene Fish placed 52nd at 28:37.36. Jade Olney was 64th at 44:32.72.

Leading Frazer’s girls was Noli Sibley in 27th place at 23:59.46. Isabelle Even took 41st at 25:33.02.

Brianna Beston ran the course in 26:44.53 for 48th place. Aubrey Mail was 54th at 28:55.92.

The top three teams in the boys’ standings were Harlem with 34, Glasgow with 54 and Poplar with 54 points. Harlem’s Ethan Walker had the winning time at 15:40.97.

Three runners placed in the top 10 for Poplar. Eljin Grey Bear took sixth at 17:27.27, Issac Irizarry was seventh at 17:27.62 and Jayden Eder took eighth at 17:28.06.

Ryder Olson finished in 22nd place at 18:53.22. Wilder Bearcub placed 25th at 19:00.73. Mickey Failing was 32nd at 19:29.56. Raylando Red Eagle placed 46th at 20:42.7.

Wolf Point’s Andrew Williamson finished in 30th place with a time of 19:14.93.

Kayeiko Villaluz placed 43rd at 20:18.06. Ezekiel Payne earned 56th place at 21:50.66. Kevin Brock took 68th with a time of 23:52.83.

Brockton’s Joshua Firemoon finished in ninth place with a time of 17:29.16.

Daniel Segubiense took 38th for the Warriors at 19:55.22. Lynn Bets His Medicine was 75th at 26:15.22.

Frazer’s Gabe Beston ran the course in 17:30.26 for 10th place.

Also placing for the Bearcubs were Bryce Fourstar in 33rd at 19:36.53, Preston Beston in 47th at 20:44.86, Cassius Smoker in 65th at 23:17.02 and Ronald Round Face in 72nd at 25:25.03.
