Evans Promoted For Highway Patrol
Montana Highway Patrol trooper T’Elle Evans is continuing to do what she wants to do and exactly where she wants to perform her duties.
The Wolf Point native has recently been promoted to the rank of sergeant. She is now the head of the Wolf Point dispatchment.
Evans has served with the highway patrol since February 2019, after being a full-time student and working at the Roosevelt County
Fertilizer Project To Create Jobs In Region
A huge economic project appears headed for Roosevelt County in the near future.
The Eastern Montana Fertilizer Project, headed by Cyan H2 LLC., is planned to be constructed 15 miles east of the Fort Peck Reservation and near Culbertson.
The project is estimated to cost $1.6 billion. The lone public assistance will come from a loan from the U.S. Department of Energy that will be paid off with
Diekhans Files For County Attorney Spot
Recently hired Roosevelt County Attorney Theresa Diekhans has filed for the 2024 election to determine the position in the future.
Diekhans, who started serving as the county attorney on Feb. 20, said she feels comfortable in the office and Roosevelt County.
“It’s northeastern Montana. It’s a beautiful area,” Diekhans said. “But I see the needs too.”

Sietsema Seeks Commissioner Position
Former Roosevelt County employee Dan Sietsema has filed for the position of Roosevelt County commissioner. The office is currently held by long-time commissioner Gary Macdonald, who is retiring.
Sietsema was the second candidate who filed for the position. Dean Mahlum has also filed. Doug Marottek also filed early this week.
Sietsema served as the county’s Disaster and Emergency Services
