Monday, Nov. 13, 1980, started like many others for Gary Flaten of Wolf Point ... until an explosion at the Montana State Highway Department took his life and the life of truck driver Raymond Morgan of Billings. During the Roosevelt County Commissioners’ regular meeting April 16, Wolf Point Mayor Chris Dschaak was on hand to discuss a memorandum of understanding between the county and the City of Wolf Point to combat blight, including a ranking of potential properties provided by the city. Dschaak also raised the issue of purchasing a skid steer-style snow blower attachment for use at L.M. Clayton Airport.

A long-time employee, Whitmus has stocked and faced shelves at the community grocery store for over two decades. Daisy Rae Renee Bearshear was born April 15 at 6:10 a.m. to Elijah Hawes and Madison Beardshear of St. Marie at Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital in Glasgow. She weighed seven pounds 13 ounces and was 20.5 inches long. Grandparents are Talitha Sterling and Steven Beardshear, both of St. Marie, and Christine Espinosa of Malta.
