Couples Compete In Local Golf Tournament


The couples’ tournament at the Wolf Point Airport Golf Course featured 11 teams on Saturday, Aug. 3. Winning the scramble format were Lukas Young and Lyndsey Young with a 31. Winning the best ball format were Gary Fisher and Kay Matejovsky, shooting a 31. Taking first in the Chapman format were Ty Nelson and Natalie Van Houten. Overall winners were Nelson and Van Houten. During meetings in Washington earlier in July, the Montana Farm Bureau continued to stress the need for grasshopper control while visiting with Congressional leaders. In talking with Sen. Jon Tester and Rep. Matt Rosendale, and with the staff of Sen. Steve Daines’ and Rep. Ryan Zinke’s offices, Farm Bureau leaders explained the negative impact of the destructive insects and the need for help
