Wolf Point Wrestlers Place in Sidney

A championship performance by Annaleigh Matejovsky highlighted Wolf Point’s efforts at the Eagle Invitational in Sidney during the weekend.

Matejovsky scored a 16-1 technical fall victory over Baker’s Kylie Schwartz in the title match at 125 pounds.

Matejovsky won three other matches on pins during the large tournament.

Paisley Bruner placed fifth at 130 pounds. She pinned Hardin’s Addison Duran in 40 seconds in the fifth-place match.

Earning sixth place were Jeina Reum at 110 pounds, Kailayla Villaluz at 105 and Aniya Smoker at 100 pounds.

In the boys’ division, Jesse Reed placed sixth at 157 pounds. He won three matches, including two on pins, at the tournament.

At the JV level, Kayeiko Villaluz took third place, Reilly Rees placed fifth and Colton Weyrauch took sixth.
