Commissioners Approve Justice Of Peace Agreement

The Roosevelt County Commissioners approved to continue with an agreement with the City of Wolf Point regarding the Justice of the Peace.

The county’s share for the agreement will now be $17,047. The amount was $15,918 in 2023.

Commissioner Gordon Oelkers noted it’s a situation that works and it makes sense to continue.

Also during the meeting on July 30, the commissioners approved a bill from the Roosevelt County Library of $1,953.50 for work on the building’s rain gutters. The job was completed on July 16.

The commissioners said they also have agreed to have two trees cut down on the west side of the building that will decrease chances of future rain gutter problems.

They also agreed to re-hire Alyssa Follette for the county detention center.
