Peter Lenz

Peter Michael Lenz, 82, of Taber, Alberta, Canada, died Wednesday, June 12, 2024.

He was born Aug. 29, 1941, in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada.

He lived in Great Falls until he was 13 years, after which his family moved to Wolf Point. He graduated from Wolf Point High School in 1959.

He married June in May 1965, then moved north to Barhead, Alberta, Canada, to begin his teaching career. He and June settled in Taber in 1968, where he enjoyed a vital and full life.

He cherished the moments spent with June, including their memorable trip to eastern Canada, where he revisited his birthplace, St. John’s, Newfoundland.

A dedicated educator, he taught at WR Myers, St. Mary’s and later brought that same dedication to the MD Park, leaving a lasting impact on countless students and visitors. Known for his remarkable ability to remember faces, he was a cherished figure in the community and church.

He was always ready to lend a helping hand or embark on an adventure, such as picking up an army truck with an old friend. His curiosity knew no bounds and he approached life with an open, non-judgmental mind.
