Poplar Shoots For Good Season On Tennis Courts

The Poplar Indians look to continue to improve throughout the upcoming season.

Poplar features about seven players this season. Players returning for the Indians senior Gabby Baker, senior Malia Mcdonald, Patricia Charboneau and junior Angelina Escarcega.

Coach Jerrelynn Mansfield said that Escarcega has the best record on the team last season. Escarcega qualified for the state tournament last year.

“Our goal is to make it as fun as we can,” Mansfield said.

She said she has been pleased with the team’s attitude heading into the season.
