Lady Wolves Drop Game At Divisional

 

Wolf Point’s girls’ basketball season came to an end against Conrad during loser- out play at the Northern B divisional tournament held in Conrad on Friday, March 1.

Conrad won by a 43-17 final. A three-pointer by Wolf Point’s Kashlyn Speak Thunder tied the score at 3-3 a minute into the game.

The Cowgirls accounted for the final 13 points, including two three-pointers, of the quarter for a 16-3 advantage.

With Conrad up by an 18-3 margin, the Wolves scored four of the next seven points on a three-pointer by Keeley Blount-Henderson and a free throw by Speak Thunder.

The Wolves scored on free throws by Ameliya Doney and Juellz Bauer, but Conrad led by a 29-9 half-time margin.

Three-pointers by Amaya Martinez and Marley Moran highlighted play for the Wolves during the third quarter. Conrad led 35-15 at the end of the period.

Conrad struck for the first eight points of the fourth quarter.

Top scorers for Wolf Point were Moran with five and Speak Thunder with four points. Blount-Henderson and Martinez scored three points each. Doney and Bauer each had a point.
