Froid/Lake Girls Down Brockton

 

A strong second quarter was a highlight for Froid/ Lake’s girls’ basketball squad as the Red Hawks defeated Brockton, 59-42, during loser- out play at the District 2C tournament on Friday, Feb. 16.

The Red Hawks fell behind 14-9 in the first quarter but ran off 23 points in the second period for a 32-21 advantage.

Froid/Lake then struck for 16 points in the third quarter for a 48-33 margin.

Brooklynn Nordwick enjoyed a big game for the Red Hakws with 23 points and 11 rebounds.

Isabelle Nordwick finished with 12 points and Mara Salvevold scored nine points.

Also scoring for the Red Hawks were Jaeleigh Davidson with six, Addison Elvsaas with three and Keira Stentoft with three points.

Salvevold had five assists in the contest.

Top scorers for Brockton were Ava LoneBear with 14, Tamryn Bauer with 13 and Marlene Fish with 11 points. KayJay First That Walks had four points.

Other leaders for the Warriors included Claire Clampitt with eight rebounds and First That Walks with three assists.
