Bainville Earns Victories In Brockton
Bainville scored league basketball victories in Brockton on Monday, Feb. 5.
In the boys’ contest, Bainville emerged with a 68-58 victory.
The Bulldogs held a 47-43 advantage at the end of the third quarter and then scored 21 points in the final period.
Chuck Butikofer led the Bulldogs with 24 points. Also reaching double figures were Alex Strickland with 18 and Sam Butikofer with 12 points. Rounding out the scoring were Reese Harmon with five, Isaiah Bjorge with five and Cayden Boyd with four.
Brockton’s top scorers were Ronnie Black Dog with 13, Quannah First That Walks with 11 and Miles Boxer with 10 points.
Josh Firemoon added eight, Quincy Belgarde scored seven and Kameron Rattling Thunder had six points.
Bainville’s girls won by a 6735 final. The Bulldogs jumped out to a 19-4 advantage in the first quarter.
Leading Bainville’s attack were Elsie Wilson with 16, Miah Pippenger with 12 and Hailey Berwick with 12 points.
Also scoring were Brecklyn Pippenger with nine, Chandi Johnson with eight, Tally Berwick with four, Lila Butikoer with four and Addison Hansen with two points.
Tamryn Bauer scored 16 points for Brockton. Kay-Jay First That Walks and Ava Lone Bear added seven points each.
